The importance of Cleaning your mattress
Cleaning your mattress is very important for your health and sleep. So we at Maid Brigade Services decided to give you a guideline on how to best clean your mattress. Below are the steps to follow:
#1 Your Mattress
Our mattress collects all our sweat, bacteria, dead skin and more. We tend to change our bed sheets weekly or as often as possible. We do this believing it is best for our hygiene. If you should check your mattress you would see how gross it is. I am going to show you how to clean your mattress because it is very important.
#2 Cleaning Your Mattress
The first thing you wanna do is to strip your bed and vacuum your mattress. Please note that you will need to use a separate nozzle just for the mattress that you do not use on the floor or other places. Vacuum your mattress from top to bottom and side to side.
#3 Deodorizing and Cleansing Your Mattress
Sprinkle some baking soda over the entire mattress using a sifter. Again, methodically cover the entire mattress, from top to bottom, all the way across. Once you are done, let it sit for at least 30 minutes, then you can remove it from the mattress. This method also helps to get raid of bed bugs.
#4 Removing Stains off Your Mattress
So, if for any reason you happen to have stain your mattress the process is simple. You will want to soak a wet cloth in a mixture of warm water and add baking soda. Press firmly into the stain continuously until the stain removes. Make sure to re-wet the cloth and rinse out over and over again until you are completely happy with your result.
#5 Dry Cleaning Your Mattress.
To dry the mattress you can use a fan or blow dryer. Please do not fix the bed with sheets until the mattress is completely dry. This is very important for preventing mold buildup.Move the fan around, to ensure that all parts of the mattress is dry, especially any parts that you soaked while removing stains off your mattress.
#6 Rotate Your Mattress
For the final process you will want to rotate the mattress and than fix the bed. Rotating the bed is very important because it helps in evening the mattress which is also good for your comfort. If this process is not done over time, your mattress will become uncomfortable for sleeping. Now, enjoy your sleep.
